Stablecoin Reference's roadmap: payouts next, then on-chain reserves, tokenized deposits and Stellar standards. Phase 2 is planned to add payouts, a second asset with conversion, and approvals. Phases 3a and 3b are planned to bring reserves on chain and settle through tokenized bank deposits. Phase 4 is planned to add Stellar standards, such as SEPs, and a custody adapter.
Phase 1: Core issuance demo
An issuer will run a full customer journey on Testnet, from onboarding and a mint against a wire to a redeem, with operators handling suspense and freezes.
Phase 3a: On-chain reserves
Minting will draw on tokenized reserve assets held on chain, and the transparency page will show that evidence.
Phase 3b: Tokenized deposits
A mint and a redeem will settle through a bank's private payment pool, with a verifiable reserve proof published alongside.
Phase 4: Standards and hardening
The issuer will reach standard Stellar wallets through SEPs, with a custody adapter, multisig or MPC, and atomic pool settlement.
